Not sure if everyone has heard about this. It hasn't happened locally that i know of. But this is a growing trend. And more so since it was put on the evening news in some areas.
If your in your vehicle or about to enter it and some one approaches you waving money, telling you that you dropped it, do not let the person to close.
Several women have been attacked and robbed and or raped with people using this gimmick.
Also, several men have been beaten and robbed after being told to enter the vehicle and drive to a remote area.
The biggest purpose of what these people are doing is robbing folks. Proably due to the the parking lots being so much fuller due to Christmas shoppers.
Just be careful. I don't want to scare anyone. But this is something you need to be aware of. Esp. if you know you didn't drop any money. I guess it's just that time of year. To bad this time of year brings out the worst in some people instead of the best in some.
